EC26: Broadening Horizons - Expanding Possibilities

 

Thursday 26th November: (Day 0)

 

Venue: Gdansk International School 18:00

 

  • Welcome gathering at ISG - non-alcoholic refreshments and finger food

  • Optional visit to the new ISG campus and visit to The Observatory - free return bus transport  provided from the welcome event to the new ISG campus and The Observatory

 

Friday 27th November: (Day 1)

 

Venue: Radisson Blu Hotel 08:00 - 15:15

(each workshop will consist of three sessions)

 

  • Chris Wright: Global Perspectives in every classroom

  • James Nottingham: Engaging Learners as Thinkers

  • Lihl Engelsman: Meeting the Needs of Gifted Learners.  From Identification to Support

 

16:30 onwards:

  • Opportunity to visit the Christmas Market, supported by teachers from the International School of Gdansk

  • Meet up in the foyer of The Radisson Blu Hotel

 

Saturday 28th November: (Day 2)

 

Venue: Radisson Blu Hotel 10:00 Onwards

 

Presentations and Events

 

Pechersk International School, Kyiv: Running a School in a Conflict Zone

 

International School of Gdansk:

  • Conference participants will be offered guided cultural visits.  The historical city tour will be led by a professional guide, who is also a teacher at ISG, and students of ISG

  • Optional visit to a traditional Polish restaurant
